The platform

DEFEX — field to issued document.

DEFEX is the in-house platform this practice is built on. It exists for one reason: so that what is observed on site becomes a defensible, standards-keyed document without anything being lost or retyped in between.

DEFEX is not for sale and has no pricing page. It is how DEFEX Engineering works — and, for clients, it is the login door to their own projects.

Capture on site, keep the chain of evidence

Defects are recorded in the field with photographs attached at the point of observation. Originals are retained at full resolution; every image stays tied to the defect, location and inspection it evidences.

Defects keyed to the standards they breach

Each defect is classified against a library keyed to Australian Standards and NCC provisions, so reports cite the actual clause — not a vague appeal to “industry practice”.

Reports assembled from the record

Inspection reports, defect schedules and superintendent’s documents are generated from the project record itself. Faster to issue, and consistent from the first page to the last annexure.

The whole project in one place

Contract administration, correspondence, time and project status live alongside the technical record — one system from first site visit to final certificate.

Client access.

Clients of DEFEX Engineering receive access to their projects as part of an engagement — live defect registers, documents and progress, without waiting for a status email.
